GMMK Numpad - Removing the Switch Plate


Step 1: Unplug the Numpad and Switch it to the OFF position. 

 


Step 2: Remove all Keycaps using a Keycap puller. 

 


Step 3: Remove all Switches using a Switch puller.

 


Step 4: Remove the Rotary Knob by pulling it upwards.

 

 


Step 5: Remove the Slider by pulling it upwards just like the Rotary Knob. 

 


Step 6: Remove the four corner screws using a #0 Phillips screwdriver. 

 


Step 7: Flip the Numpad over and remove the Top Frame. 

 


Step 8: Hold the Numpad vertically and gently open it to reveal the cable. 

 


Step 9: Using a plastic tool or fingers, peel back the adhesive tape. 

 


Step 10: Unplug the cable from the board by gently pulling on the connector. 

 


Step 11: Remove the tape covering the two central board screws. 

(NOTE: These screws are unique and cannot be interchanged).

 


Step 12: Remove the two screws

(NOTE: These screws are unique and cannot be interchanged). 

 


Step 13: Remove the four corner screws. 

(NOTE: These screws are unique and cannot be interchanged).

 


Step 14: Lift the board up and away from the switch plate. 


Step 15: Remove the two side light diffusers. 

(NOTE: The scalloped edges of the diffusers face outward. When reinstalling, be sure the taped side of the diffuser touches the switch plate, with the scalloped edge facing outward). 


Step 18: Remove the foam

 


Step 17: To reassemble the Numpad, follow these steps in reverse order.
